1. Introduction to Addi ou Addi Villa Marrakech
Nestled in the Palmgrove, Addi ou Addi villa has been a secret escape since the 1920s. This 6-acre garden is situated just 3 minutes from Bab el Khemiss, offering a serene retreat amidst trees that have witnessed over a century and 4,000 assorted bushes. Truly, an authentic gem in the ocre city.
2. Historical Significance
The name “Addi ou Addi” translates to “this one or that one”, a nod to the stories of famous visitors like Winston Churchill, Queen Mary of Roumania, the creator Balmain, and Jacques Majorelle, to name a few. Constructed in 1927, this villa embodies the essence of the resplendent 1930s. Architect Paul Sinoir, one of Marrakech’s most prolific of his time, centered the house around a 150m2 patio, leading to a pool some believe inspired Mamounia’s.
