48 hours to discover Marrakech after Covid

Confined, locked up, depressed… then freed!

Yes, but…freed with social distancing, a mask at all time and frequent hand washing.

New habits to be taken, a routine to be set up, but that will not prevent you from going away for a few days of holidays to enjoy the sun, the landscapes and the Moroccan warm hospitality and to start shaping your new life after covid-19.

Marrakech in 48 hours post-Covid? Follow us :

* FRIDAY 8pm :

Terraces and gardens are flourishing in Marrakech. Take advantage of the mild evenings to treat yourself to a dinner al fresco in our favourite restaurant in the Medina : Le Kabana. Freshly opened, this trendy restaurant with African-inspired decor, a huge terrace and a breathtaking view on the Koutoubia is a must-do. Discover their selection of homemade and seasonal cocktails and a Moroccan and international menu of excellent quality including sushi, poke bowl, ceviches or lamb kebabs…ect.

* SATURDAY 10am :

A little bit of culture and a good coffee to start the day. Visit the magnificent Confluence Museum (or Dar el Bacha) to discover the extraordinary work of renovation of this architectural jewel carried out by the National Museum Foundation (FNM). For your morning coffee, head for the Bacha Coffee. You can choose from over 200 varieties of 100% Arabica coffee and enjoy your coffee and a croissant overlooking the magnificent patio of the museum.

A driver from your hotel or a taxi will drive you 15min away from the city centre to the lush gardens of the Beldi Country Club. Enjoy local delicacies in their huge rose garden or under the arbour by the pool. Don’t forget your swimsuits if you want to take advantage of the swimming pools (one of which is for children) and your wallet to raid their souk featuring the best of local crafts. The last one? Little Marrakech, a concept store dedicated to children we are absolutely crazy about.

The district of Guéliz is a place not to be missed in Marrakech. Stroll in its historic streets for a few hours to discover hidden gardens, a magnificent Art Deco building, Le Comptoir des Mines, which hosts temporary exhibitions and very very pretty shops including Marrakine and its colourful carpets lovingly chosen by Alix or SOME Concept, a concept store nestled in a 1930s house which offers a wide choice of local textile products, furniture, books…and above all a confidential access to their small garden to enjoy a fresh fruit juice in the shade of the lemon tree.

* SATURDAY 8pm :

After efforts, come comforts. You can choose to either treat yourself with a drink in one of the magnificent lounges of the Royal Mansour and then walk to the Maison Arabe for dinner. Or opt for the Fafa’s by Palais Soleiman which will welcome you in an atypical setting with a live Gnaoua show.
